Well, here we are in Maryland. We flew into Baltimore late on Tuesday night and have a week to spend exploring the states around this area. We're hoping to go through Pennsylvania up to New York and into Maine and then down the Atlantic coast to Baltimore by next Tuesday...we'll see how far we get. The good thing is that the states are very close together here so you can make it through a couple of them in an afternoon if you wanted to...our problem is those darn antique stores keep getting in our way. We are in Hagerstown this morning and will visit one huge antique market, then head up north to Pennsylvania and into Bedford County. There is a driving tour we'll take that will take us through at least eight covered bridges and some beautiful country. The leaves are just beginning to turn here, but further north they supposed to be at peak. They actually have a leaf report, just like a weather report that tells you where the leaves are best to see...guess we'll just have to see for ourselves.
We rented a small SUV for the trip...it's a Dodge Journey...is nice and roomy and comfortable to drive...and of course lots of room in the back for our antique treasures....not sure how we'll get them on the plane but we'll figure something out.
I've no pictures to post yet but should have a ton of them by tonight...will write again then.
